Horse Around this New Year's Eve Weekend
Public Welcome at ArabHorse.com's Arabian Farm Tour Event
The Arabian Horse Network is sponsoring a New Year's Arabian Farm Tour that opens the day after Christmas and extends through the weekend after New Years. These premier Scottsdale Arabian horse farms want to share their well deserved reputation for throwing great parties with area residents and out-of-town visitors. ArabHorse.com serves the industry both nationally and internationally with web marketing solutions and creative promotions for the breed and the lifestyle associated with owning Arabians.
"Scottsdale is recognized as the World Capital of the Arabian horse," says Scott Bailey, ArabHorse.com founder, "and traditionally, some farms in Scottsdale have hosted New Years parties or open barns.
Last year we partnered with the Arabian Horse Breeders Alliance for a New Year's party and Farm Tour but the public response to the Tour was overwhelming. This year we are promoting the Farm Tour and expanding the number of participating farms and activities. There is no charge to the public to attend any of the Tour events and we encourage people to join in the fun."
Those interested in Arabian horses have an array of opportunities to visit farms, see and touch the beautiful horses and get acquainted with many of Scottsdale's most prominent Arabian people. "This is a great entertainment opportunity for people who have friends and family visiting," says Scott. "The Tour farms stage open barns complete with refreshments or perhaps a wine tasting along with informal showing of horses and a lot of fun and camaraderie. People are welcome to attend any or all Open Barns at no charge and because most farms have specialties, such as halter handling, English training or youth lessons, the presentations are very different from farm to farm.
Farms participating in this year's Tour include Pomeroy Arabians, McDonald Arabians, Arabian Expressions, North Arabians, O'Neill Arabians, Stonewall Farm, Amurath Arabians, Golden Ridge Arabians, Hopkinson Equine Management, Scheier Farms, Culbreth Equine and Equine Image Center. The Tour is scheduled so that nearby farms will stage their events on the same day with varying start times of late morning, afternoon and late afternoon/evening with an estimated two hour presentation at each farm. This allows guests to visit more than one farm during a Tour day with reduced travel distance between locations.
Two different websites offer complete Tour schedules and information, www.arabians.com and the sponsoring site ArabHorse.com, under Current Events. Each of these sites list participating farm locations, event times and presentation descriptions as well as links to those individual farm websites. A downloadable flier complete with location maps is also available. In addition you can subscribe to receive Arabian industry emails from ArabHorse.com to learn more about what is happening both here in Arizona and around the world.
A number of great door prizes are being given away during the Tour events so be certain to register when you visit each farm. A list of winners will be posted on the websites following the Tour.
