*TS AL MALIK is one of the most special individual we at Mulawa have ever had the privilege to own. Arriving in Australia in 1998 MALIK is a Brazilian National Champion, a multi regional champion in the United States and Canada, and twice U.S top ten Stallion. MALIK created great excitement in the Australian show ring, gaining the title of Champion stallion at the National Stud show in consecutive years. MALIK’S Halter career culminated in being named 2001 Australian Champion stallion with Greg Farrell at his side.
MALIK has size, breed type, great reach and extraordinary presence, qualities so rarely found in one individual. MALIK combines the bloodlines of three of the most successful and influential breeding programs in North America – Gainey, BruMarBa and Lasma. Never before in our travels had we seen such an impressive young horse.
MALIK has now produced a number of small foal crops and his abilities as a sire are very apparent. His progeny exhibit great elegance, motion and reach. He is crossing very well with the daughters of *GLF Apollo and *Vision, mare with both Polish and Egyptian bloodlines. MALIK is making a significant contribution to the MULAWA breeding program.
MALIK was broken to saddle by well known horseman Peter partridge during his preparation for the 2001 Australian Championships, and ridden work played a key role in his conditioning program. Keeping his body tuned and his mind engaged, MALIK and Peter took a ride around the show grounds just an hour before his championship final.
Following his Australian Championships win MALIK was retired from the show ring. After an intense career as a show horse, from his birthplace of Brazil, through the United States and finally to his home here at MULAWA in Australia, MALIK is enjoying life in his large acreage pasture watching the world go by.
*TS AL MALIK does not stand to public stud.
