Humanity for Horses is a sanctuary located at the base of Mt. Shasta on over 150 acres of land in far northern California. Established in 2012, it is a 501c3 non-profit organization that was established to rescue and sanctuary unwanted and abused horses and other farm animals. Over the past two years, in addition to the construction of horse enclosures, a hay barn, and animal hospital, Humanity for Horses has achieved accreditation from the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) and Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS).
