The purpose of AHA Region 7 is to promote, encourage and stimulate popular interest in the outstanding using qualities of the Arabian Horse, to formulate publicity and educational programs in the interest of the Arabian Horse owner, club and enthusiast, to foster and encourage good relations between members, to promote and coordinate Arabian horse show activities throughout AHA Region 7, and to hold the Arabian and Half-Arabian Region 7 Championship Horse Show.
The Santa Ynez Valley Arabian Horse Association originally began as an Arabian Breeders club over 30 years ago. It was formed to bring together people interested in advancing and promoting the Arabian and Half-Arabian horse. It has since evolved into an AHA Region II affiliated association that host both Regional and National Championship Competitive Trail rides, a variety of general meetings, as well as a membership organization for people who show, race, breed, or pleasure ride their Arabian & Half Arabian horses. Arabian Horse Owners Foundation is an independent, non-profit foundation, which works with the Arabian Horse Association to make a difference in all communities. Since 1956, the Arabian Horse Owners Foundation has focused on horse art, history and education and has become a valuable resource for the Arabian horse enthusiast. The Arabian Horse Owners Foundation is the home of the W.R. Brown Memorial Library.
