Arabhorse.com Spotlight - Mahogany Hill Arabians & Jordan Simons

Jordan Simons, owner and trainer at Mahogany Hill Arabians in River Falls, Wisconsin, has dedicated many years of his life to gaining experience from some of the most elite halter trainers in the country. When asked what he looks for in a show horse, Jordan said there are many qualities he looks for, but beauty and charisma are at the top of his list. His favorite horse,  DA Valentino was a prime example of these qualities. As Jordan stated, "I loved working with him!"

Jordan's interest in the Arabian industry was sparked when his father introduced him to the Arabian horse after a business trip to Scottsdale, AZ. As a result of the encounter,  his father ended up coming home and wanting to buy Arabian horses.

Jordan has many years of experience managing and training show horses. He has earned professional titles both nationally and internationally. His most memorable recognitions include his first US National Championship as a trainer as well as winning the futurity Geldings in Freedom Hall.  He was also nominated for the 2009 Arabian Professional & Amateur Horseman's Association (APAHA) Rising Star Award.

When asked what he would be aside from a horse trainer, Jordan was quick to share his aspirations to be a chef due to his love for cooking. In the meantime, he is enthusiastic about showing the Arabian horse world what he has learned throughout the years as Mahogany Hill blossoms to its full potential.
